A new Capcom leak reveals Street Fighter 6 wont be a PlayStation exclusive the same way its predecessor was - and the title will be cross-gen, too, indicating it will likely be releasing soon. The game uses Capcom's RE Engine, and will feature new fighting mechanics, including the ‘Drive System’ with a gauge enabling players to perform five unique techniques and enhance offensive and defensive capabilities.Īs well as Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Overdrive Art, Drive Rush, and Drive Reversal skills, Street Fighter 6 will also include a new control scheme including Classic Control and Modern Control types, and a Real Time Commentary feature with the voices of fighting game community commentators in thirteen languages.

Street Fighter 6 is targeting a 2023 release for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, and PC, with the Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub modes. Aside from already revealed characters Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, Jamie and Kimberly, the leaks show almost 20 individual characters set to be playable in the game.
Newcomers, meanwhile, include a new Mexican challenger named Lily, a female American fighter called Kimberley, and a Chinese combatant named A.K.I., who has claws. Thus far, only Luke, Jamie, Ryu, and Chun-Li have been officially revealed for Street Fighter 6. Other returning faces include Super Street Fighter IV's Juri, Ed, Rashid, and Luke from Street Fighter V. Last night saw Capcom lifting the lid on Street Fighter 6, and artwork for 22 characters has seemingly leaked, confirming all eight original Street Fighter II World Warriors, as well as Super Street Fighter II's Cammy and Dee Jay, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo's Akuma.
